BPR Consultant |Enterprise Architect | Performance Architect

Business Process Reengineering Consultant/Six Sigma Certified

Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive large, complex BPR or Lean and Six Sigma projects to deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefits.
  • Support process owners and engage stakeholders to drive results.
  • Function as a BPR subject matter expert and lead projects including coaching team members.
  • Function as change agent to instill process improvement culture throughout the organization.
  • Monitor project performance.
  • Plan and manage business diagnosis, process model development and analysis, best practices research, and to-be process development.
  • Plan and manage activities to define to-be organization processes, capabilities, application of key technologies, and performance measurements/KPIs.
  • Monitor achievement of strategic, financial, and operational benefits, ensuring planned business outcomes are achieved.
  • Facilitate change management process and help define the structural and cultural changes required to reach the project goals.
Core Skills
  • 7 years of BPR experience with 2+ years of project lead experience; Black Belt experience preferred
  • Completed several BPR projects with demonstrated success.
  • Technical competency in process improvement skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Other Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Formal BPR training required (i.e., Green Belt training), Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Project management experience required, PMP preferred.

Enterprise Architect

Job Summary

The enterprise architect will lead multiple smaller projects or a single large and complex strategic consulting project. Work on such projects includes managing and developing enterprise architecture (EA) programs for the client as well as identifying and capturing the architecture and related artifacts. Tasks include baseline and target EA modeling and consulting on EA engagements.

Job Description
  • Serve as the lead architect on an EA implementation for the client.
  • Execute program management, manage client coordination, and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Develop architecture, including developing governance processes, collecting artifacts, and analyzing and reporting under both client and external requirements.
  • Assist with the review and guidance surrounding the development of the client’s information technology portfolio and management of its respective EA.
Core Skills
  • Provide high level consulting expertise to client management to improve business processes, organizational effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Deliver consulting project activities, including directing requirements analysis and developing project plans, schedules, and budgets in consultation with the client.
  • Identify problems, define system architecture, develop hardware/software specifications and design, and implement, test, train client, and deploy solution.
  • Interact with company and client managers and monitor cost/schedule.
  • Assume financial responsibilities, as required, including project cost estimating, proposal generation, and invoicing.
  • Participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities, as required.
  • Identify additional product/services opportunities in customer organization.

Performance Architect

Job Summary

Working from a business architect skill set and perspective, works with the functional and technical communities to help them establish a traceable lineage from functional performance targets supporting leadership responsibilities under President’s Management Agenda, PART, GPRA to identify:

  • Performance indicators defined and tracked with the strategic management process and balanced scorecard activities
  • Performance service levels in in-house and out-sourced developmental and operational capabilities
  • Appropriately monitoring and recording performance results to help assess and report results for submission to the appropriate review authorities
  • Develop the performance architecture framework that determines performance impacts
  • Further define relative measures for these performance areas
  • Define a method to monitor, analyze, and report performance progress
  • Monitor the ongoing impact of performance on the organization’s transition strategy
  • Identify and mitigate performance-based risk associated with transition
  • May manage the performance recommendations through to completion
  • Performance architecture activities include activity-based costing of activities, earned value management (EVM), and operational analyses
Core Skills

  • Knowledge and practical experience in full systems development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies
  • Knowledge of business strategy development and EA frameworks, including FEA, FEAF, DoDAF, or Zachman
  • Understanding relationships between EA and enterprise governance, investment control, and program reviews
  • Business, performance, segment architecture development using FEA guidance
  • Experienced with requirements gathering and analysis
  • Experienced with relational/process modeling (UML) and business process modeling (BPM) utilizing business process modeling notation (BPMN)
  • A background in statistical analysis, operations research, software systems development, design and architecture
Other Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in public policy, public administration, financial management, or business administration
  • 5+ years in business and information technology architecture, including performance modeling, profiling, analysis and management
  • 4+ years balance scorecard development and management
  • 4+ years financial management with activity-based costing experience
  • 4+ years program management with EVM and operations analysis experience
  • 4+ years consulting experience
  • 2+ years Federal government experience
  • US citizen
